By plane

Cagliari Elmas is Sardinia’s main airport with flights operating to and from most major Italian cities and particularly from Rome and Milan. The airport is about 8km from the town and is connected to Cagliari by train

By boat

Cagliari is connected with other Italian ports. Tirrenia is the shipping company that connects Cagliari to the ports of Civitavecchia, Naples and Palermo. Tickets are available online from the official website: http://www.tirrenia.it/en/Pages/home.aspx.

The port leads on to Via Roma, in the centre of the city.

 

By train or bus

Cagliari can also be reached by train and bus from all the other main Sardinian ports and airports.
